Steve Berglund, Owner First Store 1963Steve Berglund is a second generation dry cleaner who first worked in his father’s One Hour Martinizing plant at age seventeen. (Learn More) On September 13, 1963 Steve graduated from The Gerber School for Advancement of Dry Cleaning Skills located on Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles. After graduation Steve passed the California state administered test to become a licensed Dry Cleaning Owner Operator. (Learn More) Mastercraft® Dry Cleaning began in December of 1979 with the opening of the Bullard Avenue plant in Fresno, California. In January of 1982 it was awarded the Grand Prize for first place among all entries for the 21st annual Plant Design Awards Program by American Dry Cleaner Magazine.
